Watch or join in as over 300 participants dip into the chilly waters
as part of a fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics of Maine.
Located on the beach in front of the Brunswick Hotel. Sponsored by

April 14 - 6th Annual Easter Egg Extravaganza...
Great family fun for all ages featuring a parade, Easter egg hunt,
photos with the OOB Bunny costumed character, animal balloons and
other fun-filled games. At Loranger Middle School from 10:00am to
1:00pm. All free to the general public. Sponsored by Old Orchard

May 12 - Beerfest – 14th Annual...
All day event featuring over 30 microbrews and live music on the

The Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion of Old Orchard

and 2.5 Mile Walk...

July 3 – 4 - Parade and 24th Annual FAMILY Sand Sculpture
Contest - Ocean Park...
Come enjoy a parade (July 4 starting at 10 a.m.) and band concert
with line and square dancing. Family sand sculpture contest (July 3
from 3-5pm) on the beach. Fun for the entire family. FMI:

Fireworks on the beach next to the Old Orchard Beach Pier every
Thursday evening beginning 6/21 thru late August. Fireworks take
place on Wednesday, July 4th, 5th & 6th .
July 21 - Annual Arts and Crafts Festival...
Art in Memorial Park featuring numerous Maine and New England
artists work on display for sale and judging. Entertainment by the
Salvation Army Band and a barbershop quartet. Proceeds to benefit
the Libby Memorial Library Building Fund. Rain date: 7/24.

Week long evening entertainment in The Square featuring vocalists,
magicians, bilingual speakers, bands and other entertainment. Parade

Ocean Park community lights their homes during the 21st annual
Festival of Lights. Band concert and strawberry shortcake are

Three days of fun competition, music, displays and a presentation to
benefit Special Olympics of Maine. On the Beach, in the square and

August 18 - Annual 5k Race...
Enjoy a kid's "fun run" or adult 5k through town with T-shirts and
medals for the kids and other awards for divisional winners. All are

Over 1000 athletes participate in a 70.3 & 32 miles Olympic and Half
Rev event for the first time in Old Orchard Beach. Pro and age group

December 2 - 19th Annual Christmas by the Sea...
Annual holiday event with free horse-drawn hay wagon and trolley
rides, face painting, entertainment, hot chocolate and food. Frosty
and Rudolph will be on hand. Bring your camera and have your picture
taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus, who arrive on a fire engine, making
this a very special tradition and holiday event. Parade starts at
1pm on Old Orchard Street. FMI: 934-2500.
